Expecting [Lakeland, Plant City | Maternity photography]

This gorgeous mama-to-be came in for a maternity session this past fall.  She was so sweet, as was her mother-in-law who accompanied her.   During the session I found out they had waited over 5 years for this sweet baby.  I can’t imagine what it must be like to wait that long for something your heart desires so much.  She had her little miracle boy right around Thanksgiving.  I am so happy for their new family of THREE!  Here are a few favorites from her session:

She printed this as a canvas for her home as well….

Jessica [Lakeland maternity photography]

I was so excited to receive a call from Jessica after Christmas to let me know that was was expecting baby boy #2 in a couple of months.  I photographed her and her husband a little over 4 years ago when they were expecting their first, and have enjoyed working with this beautiful family ever since.  I can’t wait to meet the new little guy and am so happy he’ll be a Little Miracles Collection member.  We met up downtown for another maternity session.  Can I just say – doesn’t she look amazing for being so close to her due date?!  So gorgeous!

Baby gender reveal! [Lakeland maternity photographer]

A new trend for expecting mommies these days is to have a “gender reveal” photo shoot as a way to let everyone know if they are having a boy or a girl.  I’ve seen many different ways to do them on Pinterest and online and have thought it was such a unique and fun way to share the excitement of “boy or girl?”.   So you can imagine my excitement when a sweet friend from my small group at church asked if I could meet her and her hubby on the day they were finding out the sex of their first baby.   Yes!!

So, one afternoon a few weeks ago we met at Bruster’s ice cream shop to snap a few images.  She was then able to create a blog post on her personal blog later that night that read:

“I scream, YOU scream, we all scream for……

a GIRL!!!”

Isn’t that adorable?!!  Congrats Mary and Brandon on your sweet baby girl. I can’t wait to meet her!

ps. With us that day was my little guy Austin.  He got an ice cream treat while we were shooting.  This is what the view behind me looked like….

“No pictures please!”

The Belly Series…

Some of you may have seen this when I posted it on Facebook.  This is a new program I am offering for newly expecting mommies.  I’m calling it the Belly Series – although I am open for a cuter name.  Any ideas?  I’ll tell you what…I’ll give a $50 gift certificate to someone that can suggest a winning name.  Just leave a comment here or on facebook.  If I choose your name suggestion – you win $50 for your next photo session!

Ok – back to the collage.  I actually received a postcard of this type of collage years ago and have had it sitting on my desk this whole time.  I thought it was such an amazing creation, but was never quite sure how to pull it off logistically.  As luck would have it, the photographer who’s card I’ve been holding onto came and spoke to our local photography guild back in May.  His topic was maternity photography.  He went over step by step how to create a program that would allow me to create a collage like this for my client.  I was so excited that night!  I knew I could do it – I just needed a model.  A friend from church was expecting so I asked if she’d be willing to be my guinea pig.  I’m so glad she agreed!  What a beautiful model she was!  Here is the finished product:

Part of the package includes a full maternity session at around 7 months.  Here are a few favorites from the extended session:

If you are interested or know someone that just found out they are pregnant – please contact me for pricing information.  This package also includes a full newborn session.

A new big sister!

I met this sweet family on a Monday morning in October for some family and belly images as well as some of their cute daughter.  Just a few weeks later, Mom gave birth to an adorable baby boy, making this little girl a big sister! As you can tell, she was so proud of her new role.  They are also my newest members of the Little Miracle Collection, so I get to see them a couple more times in the next year.  Yay for me!

New and improved family portrait….
