The Belly Series…

Some of you may have seen this when I posted it on Facebook.  This is a new program I am offering for newly expecting mommies.  I’m calling it the Belly Series – although I am open for a cuter name.  Any ideas?  I’ll tell you what…I’ll give a $50 gift certificate to someone that can suggest a winning name.  Just leave a comment here or on facebook.  If I choose your name suggestion – you win $50 for your next photo session!

Ok – back to the collage.  I actually received a postcard of this type of collage years ago and have had it sitting on my desk this whole time.  I thought it was such an amazing creation, but was never quite sure how to pull it off logistically.  As luck would have it, the photographer who’s card I’ve been holding onto came and spoke to our local photography guild back in May.  His topic was maternity photography.  He went over step by step how to create a program that would allow me to create a collage like this for my client.  I was so excited that night!  I knew I could do it – I just needed a model.  A friend from church was expecting so I asked if she’d be willing to be my guinea pig.  I’m so glad she agreed!  What a beautiful model she was!  Here is the finished product:

Part of the package includes a full maternity session at around 7 months.  Here are a few favorites from the extended session:

If you are interested or know someone that just found out they are pregnant – please contact me for pricing information.  This package also includes a full newborn session.

A new big sister!

I met this sweet family on a Monday morning in October for some family and belly images as well as some of their cute daughter.  Just a few weeks later, Mom gave birth to an adorable baby boy, making this little girl a big sister! As you can tell, she was so proud of her new role.  They are also my newest members of the Little Miracle Collection, so I get to see them a couple more times in the next year.  Yay for me!

New and improved family portrait….

And then there were 4….

One of my other mini sessions from October was a good friend of mine and regular client.  I joke that she should earn “frequent flyer miles” or something for the number of times I’ve photographed her and her beautiful children.  She is on her 4th Little Miracles Collection baby plan!  We met on a Friday to get some updated images of her older children.  Just 4 days later she had baby #4.  So I’ve included some of his newborn session from a couple of weeks later as well.  Enjoy!

I can’t get over how handsome this little guy has become…

And this one…gracious!  I could just eat him up he’s so cute!  He gave me so many expressions I had a hard time choosing my favorites…

And big sister…she’s got her work cut out for her with 3 little brothers!

I wish I looked this good just days before delivery!  From this….

…..to this.  It doesn’t get any better!

Baby Carson

For my first picture post on the new blog, I wanted to share this adorable newborn.  His parents are very good friends of my family.  We knew them before they were married, they love to babysit my kids, and Mom has been a very good friend to me over the past several years.   Bringing their baby boy into the world was not an easy journey.  There were trials from conception to delivery, but he is finally here and safe and healthy – praise God!  I couldn’t be happier with how the shoot went, he is such an easy going little guy which made my job pretty easy.   My only problem now is having to find a new babysitter.:)

Only 4 days old

I shared this family with you right before Christmas.  They were expecting baby boy #2 shortly after the holidays.  Sure enough, baby Alan arrived on December 30th…right before the new year.  Mom had Dad call me from the hospital to schedule a newborn session.  That's a first for me! I guess they took me seriously when I said we needed to get the newborn session done in that first 2 weeks of life.  This is I think the youngest baby I've photographed.  He was absolutely tiny and adorable.

I met them at their house that afternoon.  We decided to use one of his new blankets instead of one that I brought.  Well, before we could get any shots, he pooped all over the blanket.  So mom picked up him while I changed the set up.  While she was holding him he pooped on her pants as well!  Then later on during the session he pooped on my blanket, but I just photoshopped it out…we were running out of options!   When mom finally got him in a milk coma, we were good to go!

Big brother Matthew was so sweet with Alan.  I just love the shot of Matthew telling us to "shhhh".  He touches his nose instead of his lips, how precious is that!  After we were done inside, we ventured out to the front yard for a family shot.  I just loved all the leaves they had in their yard, it actually looked like fall (hard to find in Florida!).
