Emalyn [Lakeland baby & children photography]

One night this week I met up with a couple photographer friends to do some “for fun” shooting.  One of the girls brought her beautiful baby girl, just shy of 3 months old.  That’s normally a hard age to photograph as they can’t quite sit up yet and you aren’t guaranteed a smile.  But Emalyn was such a great little model.  She was so strong and stayed propped up nicely.:)

When we first arrived at our meeting spot, it was POURING rain.  But we waited to see what was going to happen.  Sure enough, the rain only last about 10 minutes, then the clouds moved on and a beautiful sunset emerged.  The post-storm light was gorgeous!  You can see in this first shot that it was actually sprinkling slightly when we first started.

A little bit of drool never looked so cute.:)

Crawford & family [Lakeland & Treasure Island children, family and beach photographer]

Crawford is a member of the Little Miracles Collection, so I’ve had the pleasure of photographing him several times over his first few months of life.  Back in November, he and his sister and parents joined me on the beach for a family session as well as Crawford’s 7 month portrait session.  This family is so cute, and I just love the colors that mom put together.

Then a couple of weeks ago I got to play with just Crawford in the studio for his 10 month portrait session.  He is such a handsome little guy….and I just love a baby boy in a sweater vest.:)

I can’t believe he’ll be turning 1 in just another month or so!  The first year just flies by doesn’t it?

I can’t believe I waited this long to post about this session!!  This family is near and dear to my heart.  I’ve know them since before they were even married, and have watched them go from engaged, to newlyweds, to parents.  And they are such awesome parents!  I love watching them both interact with “baby Carson” as my kids call him.:)I was very excited to meet up with them for Carson’s 1 year session.  So much had changed since his 4 month session – he was walking, and kinda talking, and had his own personality and opinions.  So fun!  And do you remember this newborn shot?

This blanket has turned into Carson’s best friend.   He carries it around EVERYWHERE he goes.  I just love this Expressions collage that we made of “the” blanket.:)

Little Miss ‘S’ [Lakeland newborn & baby photography]

I’d like you to meet Miss ‘S’….one of my Little Miracles Collection members.  She came to the studio for her 6 month session back in September.   We had so much fun with all her adorable outfit changes….just what every girl needs, lots of outfits!  She was all smiles and made my job very easy.:) I’ll start with a favorite from her newborn session that I never shared using a vintage chair that belonged to my husband when he was little.  Something a little different…

6 months is my favorite age to make a Baby Bits collage – so we were sure to get all the shots we needed for that as well.  Isn’t she adorable!  Almost makes me wish I was having another baby.:)

Another example of growing fast…this little guy is a Little Miracles Collection member – which I love! – because I get to see him several times during his first year.  That first year of a baby’s life changes so fast!  To me, he skipped from being an adorable newborn to sitting up and standing on his own.  And by the time I delivered Mom’s prints a month or so later, he was already walking!  I just love it.  So precious.:)
