Wow….last time I blogged my kids were finishing up the last school year, I was dreaming of summer days with no wake up time and no schedule, and looking forward to summer plans and road trips. Now we are up to our eyeballs in the next school year (5th and 2nd!) and my calendar is almost full for the fall Holiday season of family portraits! I did work pretty steadily through out the summer months, I just don’t like to spend a lot of extra time on the computer while my kids are home with me. So here I am, with a page long list of session I never blogged, wondering if I’ll ever catch up. Probably not – but I’ll sure try!
To start, I wanted to share a precious newborn session with you that took place at the beginning of June. As you know, I no longer offer studio newborn sessions thanks to my amazing partner Stephanie Mayshay. She did soooo many of my client’s newborn sessions over the summer! She’s seriously amazing. But those clients that prefer a session in their home are still mine to photograph. And I’m so thankful for that! I love seeing families in their own environment. And capturing details of beautiful nurseries that I know have been planned and prepared for the newest member of the family. And this particular family holds a special place in my heart. They’ve been with me since their oldest son was a newborn – 8 years ago? It’s been a while. I’ve seen them raise their first born into such a handsome and polite young man. I’ve watched Mommy as she was diagnosed – battled – and won her fight against breast cancer. And now I’ve had the priviledge of photographing the second son that they’ve wanted for so long. It just doesn’t get much better than that. I hope you enjoy these favorites as much as I enjoyed taking them.
